The functions of this Unit include:

  • Collect and analyse data on expatriate employment for preparation of reports
  • Liaise with employers for submission for contracts for attestations
  • Verify all contracts in line with Employment Act and attest as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance and adherence of decisions taken by the Section
  • Make recommendations for legal action where there are cases of failure to comply
  • Represent the Division as a witness before the Employment Tribunal in cases of litigation
  • Ensure the collection of attestation fees in respect of employment contract
  • Ensure that all moneys collected are deposited to the Accounts Section on a daily basis
