WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF NOTICE FOR TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT?

  • in the case of a casual worker - One day notice (Section 60 (1) (a) of EA 1995)
  • in the case of a worker on probation - Seven days notice ( Section 60 (1) (b) of EA 1995)
  • in the case of any other worker - One month notice  (Section 60 (1)  (c) of EA 1995)
  • in the case of a non- Seychellois worker - The period of notice specified in the contract, or where a period of notice is not specified, with one month notice(Section 60 (1) (d) of EA 1995)
