in your current career? Start your steps toward success with the employment department.
You will need to register as a job seeker. You need to report in person to the registration
unit of the employment service bureau located on the second floor at Orion mall
next to the Victoria Bus Terminal.
Requirements
According to the employment’s act, before a person can register as a job seeker,
he/she needs to be at least fifteen (15) years old.
In order to complete the registration procedures, you would need to provide us with
the following information:
- Highest education/training attainment
level
- Latest employment certificates if any
- National identification number
- Job preferences
On completion of the registration, you would be issued a job card, which is renewable every six months. Choosing the right job The department offers counseling services
to assist you in making choosing the right job. The department will match your
preferred occupation(s)/jobs against the published vacancies. If a match is found, you will
be informed for further formalities.
Do I need a job card?
Yes, if you are not in a full time employment and you are seeking for a job. Being
a holder of a valid job card, you are considered as an active registered job seeker.
Thus you would be assisted in obtaining the right job for you.
Joining Training scheme
To ensure that Seychellois job seekers have the right skills to be employable, the
department organizes a number of workshops/schemes. To join any of these schemes,
you need to be a registered active job seeker.
Renew job card
At the end of six month you still unable to find your preferences job(s). Yes, you
would need to renew your job card so that the department can remain on the lookout
for job opportunities for you.
