If your accumulate leave has exceeds 42 days you may entitled to convert your accumulated leave into cash. Please refer to Employment Act for more details
The following formula shall apply for the purpose of converting accumulated leave into cash:

Annual leave With effect from 1st January 2006, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays shall be excluded in calculating a period of annual leave earned.
Other Calculations
- HOURLY RATE
Annual Salary ÷ 52 weeks ÷ hrs work per week
Example: SR 1600 x 12 ÷ 52 ÷ 40 = SR 9.23
- SALARY FOR DAYS WORKED
Number of days worked x hours worked per day x hourly rate
Example: 5 days x 8 hours x SR9.23
- ANNUAL LEAVE
Salary per year x number of days entitled (1.75 days per month) ÷ Number of
days per year
Example: SR 1600 x 12 x 21 ÷ 365
- COMPENSATION
Salary x 12 x number of hours worked per day x number of days
entitled ÷ 52 number of hours worked per week
Example: SR 1600 x 12 x 8 x 60 days ÷ 52 ÷ 40 hours
Note: when a person works 8 hrs from Monday to Friday and 4 or 5 hrs on Saturday, the daily hours are calculated on an average.
Example: 44 hrs ÷ 6 days or 45 hrs ÷ 6 days = working / hours per day
