If you having difficulty to secure a permanent employment and an active job seeker. Then you can join the URS. This scheme allows you to work for an employer on a temporary basic for an allowance of SR 1400 or SR 1900 for full day and half day respectively. As a temporary worker you would not be able to apply for benefits that are available to a permanent worker, such as, annual leave, sick leave, over time and length of service compensation.
How long can I remain on URS Schemes?

The department review periodically the participant’s on the scheme. Whether or not you remain on the scheme base on number of criteria such as

  • Availability of employment opportunities in the area of preferred occupation
  • Efforts and willingness of the participant to secure permanent employment
  • Amount of time spent on the scheme

Under normal circumstances the participant should not remain more than six (6) month on this scheme but there is exceptional circumstance establish by law.
